Good point: so here is the ans:
Go into in setup->Modules->Stocks
Click on setup and change the following to yes: "Create a warehouse automatically when creating a user"
Then go into setup->Modules->Point of Sale and leave:
Warehouse to use for sells = blank
Please keep in mind that I am new to this program and I was doing some trial and error before I achieved the results I needed.
